Description:

The existing building is a two level house with a half basement completely disconnected from the garden and the swimming-pool.
The project aims at growing the areas and establishing new connections with the garden. The existing dark house is modelled to open itself to the garden and the south.
The concept of intervention clearly differentiates the existing elements from the new.
The extension is a metallic structure that comes to embrace and to maintain the new facade of the house. It creates different relations between the house and the outside: entrance, terrace-porch, veranda-hall, veranda-kitchen.
The metallic structure is done with a minimum of strong points and the facade is a variable filter of privacy achieved by placing a wooden layer of sliding blinds.
